To my amazing sister Olaedo, thank you for being the best immediate younger sister and always remaining a constant. You’ve constantly been my sister (by force lol) and my protector. You’ve constantly encouraged me, motivated me, and believed in me. And most importantly you’ve constantly been my best friend, even through our rough patches. I’ve always admired your fearlessness and determination in going after what it is you want. When you told me you were serious about moving to New York, although I didn’t want you to leave, I knew this would make you happy. Who knew you’d end up finding the love of your life.
To my new brother Anthony, I'm glad we've been able to forge a brotherly/sisterly bond. I knew when I first met you that you were exceptional and I appreciate your candor and our conversations over the years. Thank you for embracing our family completely and for allowing us to embrace you. Most of all, thank you for loving my sister the way you do.
I pray that the lord continues to strengthen your love and that he blesses your union with an abundance of health, wealth, and everlasting love. As 1 Corinthians 16:14 states, “Do everything in love." Love you both! #NeverLettingLugo2020 officially loading!
Words can’t describe my love for my big sister, Olaedo. She’s always been like another mom to me and I know that I can always count on her for anything and everything. She is one of the most loving and caring people I know and I am so glad that I can call her my sister. She takes up such a big part of my heart and a big part of my life. I don’t know where I’d be without her. She has been and is such a big influence in my life and has shaped me into the young woman I am today. I’m so honored she chose me to take a big part in her special day and I can’t wait to witness her marriage to Anthony, someone who I strongly believe is worthy of marrying my sister. In this joyous celebration, I only wish her everlasting happiness, the happiness that she brings to all the people she meets.
I knew Anthony was going to be Olaedo’s husband when him and I had our first heart to heart moment. One weekend after we all drove up to Boston, Anthony and I drove back to NY together because Olaedo needed to stay in Boston a little longer.
In the 4 hour drive back to NY Anthony and I spoke about religion and spirituality, love and relationships, and furthering careers. Not only did he possess the qualities and beliefs Olaedo wants in a husband but he showed me how spiritually and intellectually connected him and Olaedo are. Beyond boyfriend and girlfriend, I knew my best friend found not only the man of her dreams, but a partner who is also her best friend in every aspect of the word. He not only respects her, but he values the opinions and beliefs of the most important people in her life and that shows strong character. I am ecstatic for this new journey they’re about to embark on and I am so appreciative that I can be apart of it.
Cheers! Love you both!
Olaedo is one of my closest cousins. I’ve had the pleasure of growing up with her and watching her grow into the beautiful young woman she is today. Olaedo is a kind, hardworking person who is well deserving of all the blessings that are coming her way. I’ll always remember our summer cousin trips exploring the west coast and making unforgettable memories. I’m so excited and blessed to witness this new chapter in her life!
Flash back to our summer of 2010 escapades and fast-forward to a year 2020 wedding. What an evolution! So happy to have witnessed the love that you and Anthony have cultivated over the years. You two are truly meant for one another and I wish you both a marriage full of the same love, compassion, teamwork, and excitement that you both have built over these lovely years. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lugo!!!
Olaedo and I met in high school after we both joined our cheerleading team. Though we shared common friends, we hadn't developed a friendship before that (she assumed I was prissy and I assumed she rude LOL). Thankfully, fate had other plans! One season, coach put all our names into a hat to help randomly assign Spirit Sister pairs. Olaedo and I were matched and it didn't take long for us to become friends, and eventually, sisters. She's one of the kindest, funniest and most supportive people I know.
Our friendship evolved from decorating lockers on game day to moving out to New York City after college. In the beginning, we shared a basement apartment in Flushing, Queens and a mission: we would make it in the big city. Luckily, it didn't take long for us to find jobs, and for Anthony and Olaedo to find each other. Anthony is the type of person you hope all your best friends marry - good, thoughtful, fun, caring and kind. Two incredibly beautiful people have found each other and I can't wait to witness their wedding day.
Where do I begin…. I’ve known Lugo basically since I was born growing up 4 houses down from him and his family. From playing basketball on the street, to beer pong in the basement, and then working together in Manhattan, we’ve been through a lot. I love Lugo like a brother and am so happy for him and Olaedo. I met Olaedo when we were all working in the same building back in 2014. She has been the most down to earth, hard working and caring women I have met through Lugo and I wish them nothing but pure happiness and love for the rest of their lives. Of course, I’ll be there all the way still tagging along and making new memories with my brother and his queen. Much love and can’t wait to celebrate with you both!
Most people that graduate from high school leave with great friendships, my case was different. I graduated high school with a life long brother. What has drawn me to Anthony at first in school was his charming personality and caring attitude. He has been a great friend to me throughout high school as well as after. We’ve always kept in touch despite life’s many challenges: work, school, family, health etc.
The first time Anthony had introduced me to Olaedo, she was very sweet to my girlfriend Sandra and I. Olaedo treated us as if she'd known us for years. Later that evening as we drove home, we thought to ourselves how lucky Anthony was to have met someone as great as she is. I was instantly thrilled that my friend had found someone that he truly loves, and who shares his same charming/caring personality. It felt great to know that my brother Anthony was in great hands.
I wish you guys nothing but the best and I want to thank you guys for letting share this journey with you.
To the epitome of positivity, the person who’s never wrong. We’ve had too many debates over the most simplest things. Crazy thing is we still debate these things today. A person who I’m proud to call my brother. Whether its walking every neighborhood in Manhattan or every neighborhood in Brooklyn I got your back. Wish you and your beautiful bride the best.
I’m Ernest, one of Anthony’s cousins. There are so many wonderful things to say about him but for now I just wanna wish Anthony and his lovely wife to be Olaedo much love and happiness and a very bright future for the both of you... Love you guys so much.
I’ve known Anthony for about 16 years. I met him freshmen year in high school and it’s been a brotherhood ever since. I moved to Florida for college never lost contact. We had our differences of course but he was always the homie. With my fathers recent passing he was somebody that helped with the grieving process. That’s the Brodie. Best wishes and blessings to him and his future wife.
We’ve known each other since we started high school. For some reason we didn’t like each other freshman year. I can’t tell you why lol. Sophomore year came, me and you formed a bond that can’t be broken. The 3 amigos in high school and my brother from there on. There’s too many stories and memories, I wouldn’t know where to start. I’m proud of you bro and I wish you all the best. Congratulations.
