Kimberly and Andy met in college at the University of Washington wayyy back in 2009. Their love story began the way many, many great love stories do: at an "Edward Fortyhands" themed party. IYKYK.
The two were set up on a last minute blind date by dear friends. They have been inseparable ever since.
(Well, mostly... Andy had to work through some commitment issues before he got smart and realized what he had)..
Fast forward a few (okay, many) years, over the course of which Andy and Kimberly will have adopted their beloved cat Sophie, finished college, traveled together (despite Kimberly's fear of flying, she'd go anywhere with her person), returned to school and/or started careers, bought their first home, and deepened their love and commitment to one another, their family, and their truly amazing friends.
Then, fast forward a bit more to June 19th, 2021, when Andy faced down his serial procrastination and finally asked Kimberly to marry him. Ever patient and full of grace, Kimberly said yes!
After Andy proposed during a picnic for two at Lincoln Park, the newly engaged couple returned home where Kimberly was once again surprised to see their street lined with all their friends, waiting and ready to congratulate them and celebrate their love.
Fast forward just a little bit more (bear with us), and here they are in 2023 ACTUALLY getting married, more than 14 years after that chance meeting.
Better late than never, right?
