Who's Attending

Immediate family, Wedding Party members and other guests participating in the Wedding Ceremony will receive a separate, formal invitation to join us at the Ceremony Rehearsal; please meet at Castle Hill's Chalet Lawn, The rehearsal will be followed by a luncheon at The Lawn restaurant at Castle Hill Inn.

Significant others are welcome. If you are requested at the Ceremony Rehearsal and Luncheon, please RSVP accordingly on your invitation's reply card.

GETTING THERE

Directions to Castle HIll

For most guests attending the Ceremony Rehearsal, the commute will mean only a short walk from your lodgings. For anyone coming in from town, complimentary valet parking will be available at the Agassiz Mansion at Castle Hill Inn.

Be sure to bring your sweaters, coats, and jackets. The Ceremony Rehearsal is intended to be held outside, and weather permitting, our lunch will also be al fresco where we can enjoy the view, the breeze and the sunshine! 

Who's Attending

All guests invited to the Wedding on Saturday are also invited to join us at the Lobster Bar for a classic New England Clam Bake Friday evening!

Getting There

Directions From Your Hotel

There is no parking on site at the Lobster Bar, but should you wish to drive, there are several public parking lots in downtown Newport at various walking distances from Bowen's Wharf.

NEWPORT HARBOR HOTEL
— 2 minute walk.

HOTEL VIKING
— 8 minute walk.

CASTLE HILL INN
— Complimentary trolley service has been arranged to transport guests of Castle Hill Inn to Bowen's Wharf on Friday, May 19th.

Trolley Departure: Please meet at the Agassiz Mansion at 5:15pm for transport to Bowen's Wharf.

Trolley Return: The return trolleys are scheduled to leave Bowen's Wharf at 10pm for Castle Hill Inn.

Nautical inspired but not required ;)

Jeans are as welcome as sailor pants at the Lobster Bar, but we would love if guests still chose a tailored look along with them; collared shirts, sweaters, or even a captain's jacket if that's your thing! We also suggest comfortable footwear; we'll all be taking the cobblestone and brick walkways through Bowen's Wharf to get to the Lobster Bar.

Please expect a formal wedding invitation to arrive via the post within the first few months of 2023.

The Wedding

Ceremony
The ceremony will begin at half past four o'clock in the afternoon.

Cocktails & Hors-d'œuvres
Immediately following the ceremony.

Reception
Dinner service will begin at approximately half past six o'clock in the evening and will be followed by an evening of dancing.

GETTING THERE

Trolley Service To Be Provided

Complimentary trolleys will be running round trip from downtown Newport to Castle Hill Inn. While trolleys will only be departing from our designated hotels, guests staying nearby are also welcome to opt into the trolley service. Please indicate on your invitation's reply card which stop you would like to depart from.


DOWNTOWN NEWPORT — Trolleys will be departing from both Hotel Viking and Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina.

Trolley Departure: Please meet at the hotel selected on your reply card at 3:30pm for transport to Castle Hill Inn.

Last Trolley Return: While we expect at least one trolley will depart Castle Hill Inn before the evening's festivities conclude, the last trolley to depart Castle Hill Inn for downtown Newport will do so at 11:00pm.

Our wedding will be a formal affair and black tie attire is requested, but we encourage everyone (ladies in particular!) to embrace the colorful palette of the spring season!

Please note that the ceremony will be held outdoors, rain or shine. While the seating area will be tented overhead if we expect inclement weather, the area may still be quite cool. Please check the forecast prior to attending and be sure to bring any layers you may need.
