Amanda+Mike

Born and raised in Mississippi, Amanda attended Mississippi State University where she studied Communications and became a die-hard Bulldog fan. Mike was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Albany, New York. He attended NYU for Music and English and was told he was supposed to root for a team whose mascot was "The Violets" - this was unacceptable so he split time between rooting for the Best Man's Boston College Eagles and his beloved New York Giants. Both, having big dreams, found their respective ways to New York City, unaware of the other for over 8 years...
Music! Music brought Amanda and Mike together on December 8th, 2010. They met at a show at one of their favorite Lower East Side venues, Rockwood Music Hall, after a mutual friend introduced them (exactly on the spot where this recent photo was taken). Mike thought Amanda was charming and that her accent was cute. Amanda thought "Michael" was "so nice."
They found love in the city...
And they found love in other places too...
And they found love dressed up...
And they found love dressed down...
And so, after finding love in so many places, on their 5-year anniversary on January 15th, 2016 - after a lovely seafood dinner at their favorite restaurant "Mermaid Inn" and a stroll through their beloved East Village for vegan ice cream - Mike asked Amanda to marry him. The rest is history!
