Eat, Drink & Explore
Giorgio on Pine - Our favorite Italian spot in the city. Our families had a fantastic dinner there the night we got engaged! (1328 Pine Street)
Jim's Steaks - Arguably (and Alex will argue with anyone on this point) the best cheesesteak in the city. (400 South Street)
Parc - The best French restaurant (including among those in France!) ever. Can't beat it's location on Rittenhouse Square for people and dog watching. (227 S 18th Street)
Buddakan - Excellent Asian fusion spot in the heart of our favorite neighborhood in the city - Old City. We had our 2nd date at this restaurant! (325 Chestnut Street)
Franklin Mortgage - Awesome speakeasy in Rittenhouse. Also the site of our first date! (112 S 18th Street)
Independence Beer Garden - Open air beer garden with a great variety of beer, cocktails and yard games. (100 S Independence Mall West)
Dirty Frank's - Classic neighborhood bar with featured local art for sale and a cash only register. Across the street from Alex and Hannah Rose's first apartment in Philly! (347 S 13th Street)
McGillin's Olde Ale House - The oldest bar in Philadelphia! Great place to watch a game. (1310 Drury Street)
Old City - Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Museum of the American Revolution, Elfreth's Alley, Betsy Ross House, the Constitution Center, Washington Square Park, the historic opportunities to explore are endless! Walk through this neighborhood for a great history lesson and to see the site where Darren popped the question.
Rittenhouse Square - Beautiful park surrounded by historic Philadelphia streets and great restaurants.
Boathouse Row & Philadelphia Art Museum - Site of the iconic Rocky steps. The museum always features excellent exhibits. After hitting the museum, take a walk on Boathouse row for great views of the city.
LOVE Park & City Hall - Smack dab in the center of the city, the park features the iconic LOVE sign and across the street is the coolest city hall building in America (but we're not biased).
