Alejandra and Jeremy met the first week of business school at George Washington University in August 2014. They remained friends for over a year, and officially started dating in Jan 8, 2016, at the end of their first trip together to Colombia. To this day, Alejandra is convinced that it was her driving skills through narrow mountainside roads in Colombia that got Jeremy hooked!
We first said I love you during a trip to Aspen, Colorado, in March 2016. Jeremy spent his day waiting for Alejandra to slowly ski down Aspen mountain, while Alejandra spent her day being the most scared she has even been in her life. A couple fights later, we conquered that slope together, and later that day recognized we were in love!
We graduated from business school together in May 2016. We had only been dating for three months when our parents met, which was a bit nerve wracking at the time. Thankfully, they got along pretty well as we celebrated our graduation in DC!
In July 2018, during our second trip to Colombia, Jeremy asked Alejandra's parents, Ricardo and Fatima, for their blessing. Then proposal planning began.
Knowing that he is not able to lie, and that Alejandra would definitely catch on to anything, Jeremy decided to surprise her when she least expected it: during a sweaty hike at Rock Creek Park, an activity that they do almost every week! On September 15, 2018, Jeremy popped the question and Alejandra said yes!
Now we are ready to take our vows in front of everyone we love and celebrate with you!
