Living downtown Toronto for over 20 years, Akshay's second home is St. Michael's Hospital. When he is not working, you will find him on a golf course practicing his chipping, travelling the world, spending time with his family and friends, or in Florida visiting his nephews & niece, brother and sister-in-law.
If you know Rena, you will appreciate her vibrant personality and strong zest for a beautiful life. Rena's family and friends are at her core and she loves spending time with them. Her passion for food, both professionally and personally, finds her exploring the city for new restaurants and bakeries to satisfy her sweet tooth. She loves her morning walks by the water with a Tim's coffee in hand, internally dancing to some reggae or a new found love for Hindi music.
Meeting in the summer of 2019, Akshay & Rena immediately hit it off; their conversations flowed and laughter echoed with endless banter. They bonded early on over long hikes, bike rides, and tennis.
Fun fact, although Rena did her undergrad at the University of Western Ontario with Akshay's brother Ashish, their paths never crossed previously.

Rena met Akshay at Terroni's for dinner. She offered to drive him home as a caring woman does (chivalry is not dead). As they drove in Rena's 2005 Honda Civic (300,000 km), sparks started to fly. NO! Not those kind of sparks! Rena's car exhaust had fallen and was dragging on the ground causing literal fireworks! Prince Charming came to the rescue and saved the day. Needless to say, fireworks were in the air.
During COVID, in the midst of a chaotic world, was the blossoming of ReShay. Quarantining together, they enjoyed their time cooking, watching Ozark & Ted Lasso, playing endless games of Skipbo, and looking after each other.

Finally out of quarantine was the beginning of many new and exciting adventures together. Lunch date in Collingwood was the perfect outing.
First overseas trip! Sunshine, sandy beaches, flying fish, rum punch, swimming with the turtles, and Rena's lost luggage brought them closer together each day.
A trip to New York over Christmas! Walking the streets together, they enjoyed watching Lion King, drinking hot chocolate, skating unsteadily, and indulging in delicious New York eats. Those Magnolia cupcakes!

Athens, Mykonos, Paros, ending in beautiful Santorini. An incredible 10 days learning Greek history, over eating, and a breathtaking hike from Fira to Oia.
And along the way, Rena found new loves and these little munchkins brought them both so much joy. Arjun, Rahul and Mira light up their lives!
