"A million feelings. A thousand thoughts. A hundred memories. All for one person." We met on that faithful day at a workplace in 2011. Meeting at work was a vehicle to propel us to this day. To this day, we still think it was pre-determined than just serendipity. Either way, we developed a sense of belongingness and a nurturing atmosphere to plant our seed of love. As co-workers, we became friends due to our common interests in lifelong learning, religion, love for cars, and future goals as healthcare providers.
Not too long into our friendship, we began dating in 2013 and have been together ever since. We both had a goal to complete our education before marriage. As already in the know, our paths to becoming a physician and a nurse took quite a long time; we stayed closer, supported, and motivated each other throughout the process.
We believe it is time to tie the knot by the Grace of God after this long-awaited time, and we are super excited to celebrate this moment with you.
Within this spirit, I had the chance to meet Maame's family unconventionally. Maame was involved in a vehicular accident, and I had to drive from RVA to MD to make sure at the late hours of the night. There was no way I would let her go home alone. I felt great and honored to take her home to her dear family. It was at this point I met her family. Sweet moment.
On the flip side, Maame did not need any introduction to meet my family. She did not need any means of introduction. Mom and dad did not have to ask any further. Likewise, my siblings oiled the wheels of custom for her. Our first family trip was a visit to Norfolk; damn, we had fun. We say the many memories we will forever treasure-check out the pictures on this #Aisle2Agyeman.
