Deciding to have a destination wedding was a choice we had to make quickly, but one we made very carefully. There are so many factors that went into making this decision, but ultimately it was so that we could have as many of our family members and loved ones in attendance. So many of you have supported us during our time as a couple and we could not imagine celebrating our day without you.
We had just started dating and had such a great time watching a Yankees game. Only a few people knew we were dating and this was the night we both posted identically ambiguous stories on IG that had our mutual friends connecting the dots. This night was super fun and set the tone for countless date nights to come. Adalid's mouth turned blue from eating cotton candy. And we both cracked up over a lady with aisle seats who verbally complained every time she had to let someone in or out of the aisle. Great times!
One of my favorite things about Zuri is that he is always willing to try new things (even foods! Don't let him fool ya!). I love to explore new places and try new experiences and every time I suggest something he is so quick to jump on board. Our adventurous side can sometimes get us into sticky situations.
Story time: One time at church camp...Zuri suggested we go canoeing. A nice, relaxing canoe trip where we would row out to the middle of the (very large) lake, jump into the water, then climb back in the canoe and row back to shore. What a great idea! It was a hot day! Welp. What we did not count on was me not being able to climb back on to the canoe. That was also the day Zuri found out I have a secret fear of dark water. That was also the day we found out I can swim across a large lake. I also swam back without assistance (Zuri kept asking me to hold on to the canoe) so that I could brag. What a day!
Adalid is supposed to be the runner out of the two BUT I'm very disciplined and never miss scheduled morning runs...even if they're scheduled for 7 am. This is much to Adalid's dismay as she is not a morning person. We love supporting each other during runs as much as we love some friendly competition. Sometimes I leave Adalid is my dust. Other times Adalid runs past me and returns the favor. Either way, running has become another one of the activities that helps us pend quality time together.
We are literally always laughing. We are best friends and have always understood each other's humor and thinking on advanced levels. This make for non-stop shenanigans and great times. This also helps hard times lighter and shorter.

We ALWAYS end up randomly matching. Like I'm talking entire color palettes. We both usually change our mind about what we are going to wear at the last minute so many times we don't wear what we originally had in mind. Fast forward: I jump into the car I find my outfit twin. When I bring it up Zuri always says "You know how we do Baby girl". LOL! We are not trying to be corny. I promisseeeee.- A
