Marissa & Joseph

Joseph and I officially met at the start of 2018 when I began my first nursing job!  Joseph was the clinical educator who was in charge of my on-boarding, which, needless to say, we spent more time getting to know each other than we did with new hire paperwork!  The greatest gift was finding each other at a time when we least expected it!!!

At first, we both kept our feelings secret! Because we both thought, "how in the world could this person like me?!"  Long chats at work ... that spilled over after punching the clock ... that trickled into texting ... and eventually, brought us to a Friday night - THE Friday Night!!  We found ourselves talking until around 8pm in Joseph's office. Joseph mustered the courage to ask me to dinner! I picked sushi! We closed the restaurant down because we simply can never stop talking! Both feeling that there was something more there .. Joseph opened his fortune cookie and it read ... Stop Searching, Happiness Is Right In Front Of You

Violet Adaline! Our little miss is 12 years old and has the biggest, most caring heart. She is full of life and laughter! She enjoys dancing and acting, spending time with friends, watching The Office, and has a liking for cats and Starbucks! We could not be more proud of her!!! 

Our gentleman, Graham Robert is a spunky, energetic 10 year old!! You can always find him with a soccer or football, running around and asking anyone to play a game! His sweet tooth is insatiable and his jokes are the best!! We cannot get enough of his grumpy old man ways when he is over tired! So Cute!! His heart is true and genuine, we could not be more proud! 

July 20, 2019 ... THE BEST DAY!  Any other normal weekend, not too many plans, maybe some errands, Marissa was on call for work ... simply normal. Mary (Best Man) asked us to coffee at The Mint, our favorite place to spend time together. We love sharing coffee and a slice of pie and spending hours talking .. our own secret place! When we arrived, Mary said she was no longer able to come ... although we were sad to not see our friend, we were happy to be in our favorite place alone together. Joseph spent a great deal of time expressing his love, which is very normal ... none the wiser, still a very normal day ... UNTIL!!! Joseph got out of the booth (our booth), down on one knee and asked to spend the rest of his life with me!!! (ME!) Our normal day quickly became the BEST DAY!! After shock, tears, and excitement ...it was revealed that the entire day had been filmed (check it out on the Cover page!) and that Joseph arranged for work call coverage!! A small photoshoot, a private moment in a courtyard, a beautiful family dinner, and ending the night with friends ... could not have been more perfect!!!
