2011 :: Tapout and Affliction were popular clothing choices, and earrings were an exciting accessory the Pickerington boys picked up during a recent spring break trip to PCB. Although Aaron and Hillary had just become friends, Hillary knew that he was the one. Aaron was not yet convinced and true to his core, he took his time - enjoying the sights of Ohio U's campus, Courtside Slice Nights and Fest Seasons for years to come.
Although both had wrapped up their time in Athens, they were unable to let it go. Aaron and Hillary had reunited for one last Number Fest in 2015 and Allison was sold that Aaron was Hillary's perfect match. Now Hillary staying true to her core, she wasn't going to give in and date Aaron because he was ready and Allison approved.
After Aaron's perseverance, Hillary finally accepted Aaron's invite to a dime-a-dog night for the Clippers. Although no pictures were taken together on their true "first date", Aaron walked the entire stadium to find Hillary a hot dog hat with ketchup only. Then drove to her parents house in Dublin to say hello to her Grandmother. Little did they know, this hat would become one of Hillary's most loved gifts as it created one of her favorite pictures and memories with her Grandma Louise.
The first of many trips, Aaron recreated a drawing in San Francisco, once found in the concrete of his college house on Stewart. Both then knew, they were in it for good. Ironically, the moment she had been waiting for since they first met would happen exactly four years, minus one day later.
For those next four years, vacations consisted of blue waters in Northern Michigan and Florida with family. Each trip Hillary thought Aaron would propose, and the wedding planning could start. Aaron had a plan and although later admitted he considered proposing in Michigan, the moment they both had been anxiously anticipating for years was still yet to come.
2020 :: During a trip to Breckenridge, Aaron was ready. He strategized with his sister Lindsey, and friends Lina and Bob to finalize the big moment. Although the initial plan did not play out as he had prepared for, Hillary didn't suspect a thing and was so excited when Aaron improvised on location, dropped to one knee.
