The wedding celebration will continue on the shore of Lake Ontario with a delicious barbecue and a beautiful view of the Toronto skyline.

The Algonquin Island Clubhouse is just a ten-minute ferry ride from downtown Toronto and is a perfect location for a summertime farewell party, rain or shine.

We will be celebrating between 12:30 and 4:00 in the afternoon. You are welcome to arrive at your leisure.

Dress Code

The lakeside barbecue will be a relaxed affair that you can enjoy in casual clothing. Comfortable shoes and sun protection are recommended.

DIRECTIONS to the TORONTO FERRY DOCKS

The Toronto Ferry Docks are located at the end of Bay Street at Queen's Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle hotel.


From East
Take 401 West to Don Valley Parkway. Take Don Valley Parkway South to Gardiner Expressway. Once on Gardiner Expressway, take the Yonge/York/Bay exit. Turn left onto Yonge Street and then right onto Queen's Quay.

From North
Take Highway 400 South to Highway 401 West, Highway 401 West to Highway 427 South, then Highway 427 South to Gardiner Expressway Toronto. Take the Yonge/York/Bay Exit to the Yonge ramp. Turn right at the first light, then left onto Queen's Quay.

From West
Take Highway 401 East to Highway 427 South to Gardiner Expressway Toronto. Take the Yonge/York/Bay Exit to the Yonge ramp. Turn right at the first light, then left onto Queen's Quay.

PARKING near the FERRY DOCKS

Available at the following locations:
- One block north of the ferry docks at Lakeshore and Bay
- One block west on Queen's Quay between Bay and York
- One block east opposite Toronto Star building

THE FERRY
Access Algonquin Island via the Wards Island ferry.

Once you have parked, you will find the main entrance to the ferry docks at the end of Bay Street on Queen's Quay. Enter through the park via the walkway between the Westin Harbour Castle hotel and Harbour Castle condominiums.


FERRY TICKETS
Your ferry ticket will be provided at the wedding reception. Use it to bypass the long ticket lines. When you arrive, go past the ticket booth, directly toward the sign for the Wards Island ferry.

The ferry ride is approximately ten minutes.


FERRY SCHEDULE
The Wards Island Ferry leaves the Toronto ferry docks every thirty minutes on the hour and half hour.

The return trip from Wards Island is every thirty minutes at a quarter to and a quarter past the hour.

WALKING DIRECTIONS on the ISLAND

- After the short ferry ride, you will walk to the main road (Bayview Avenue)
- Turn right on Ojibway Avenue, towards the bridge.
- Go over the bridge and walk straight toward the Toronto Harbour.
- Once you have reached the harbour, turn left onto Seneca Avenue and proceed to the end of the walk.
- Seneca Avenue turns left and becomes Wyandot Avenue.
- You are now at the Algonquin Island Association Clubhouse.

This is a pleasant fifteen-minute walk.
